Instructional Para Professional
Belle Creek Charter School, located in Henderson, is seeking an Instructional Para-Professional for the upcoming 2018/2019 school year.
Nature of Work:
To provide support to the classroom teacher to ensure a positive, productive work and classroom environment: The specific responsibilities and duties for individual general education paraprofessionals will be delegated at the discretion of the classroom teachers with whom you are assigned.
Essential Functions
- Instructional Support
- Assist teacher in testing/evaluation/ assessing students
- Assist in preparing instructional materials
- Conduct and manage small groups
- Ensure students are engaged in classroom activities
- Resource Support
- Organize materials/supplies in the classroom
- Assist in monitor and managing learning centers
- Behavior Management Support
- Promote and follow all of the procedures, policies and rules established by the school and the classroom teachers.
- Monitor students during transition times, lunch and recess
- Develop positive social interactions with and between students
- Clerical Support
- Make copies/classroom materials
- Assist in monitoring student planners
- Sort and file student work
- Maintain confidentiality of student information and records

Preferred Qualifications:
