Nature of Work:

Instruct technology focused classes to K-8th grade students.  Serve as a technology resource and consult with external IT support to assist staff & faculty members with day-to-day technical issues.



  • Uploads grades weekly.
  • Returns emails and phone calls to parents within 24 hours.
  • Communicates with parents of struggling students when the situation does not improve  over a period of two weeks.
  • Serves as proctor/support role for all State testing.
  • Attends faculty meetings, department meetings, conferences and in-service trainings as assigned.
  • Fulfills all assigned duty responsibilities.
  • Promotes a positive image of Belle Creek Charter School both inside and outside of the school.
  • Promotes a positive school culture which models the excellence expected at  Belle Creek Charter School.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform first level desktop support of technology for staff members, support software applications including Microsoft, Google and Infinite Campus for staff, students and faculty members.
  • Consult with external IT support to help to manage accounts for staff, faculty, students, Board of Directors and administration.
  • Consult with external IT support to create professional development materials for faculty, student and staff members in the areas of basic microcomputers, Microsoft Office applications, and Google Apps for Education to enhance faculty and staff development and/or faculty and/or staff production.  Create training materials for students in the areas of basic microcomputers, Microsoft Office applications, Google Apps for Education and the Internet to enhance student achievement and to support student technology standards. 
  • Consult with external IT support personnel to maintain and optimize performance of site technology.
  • Collaborate with teachers and building administrators to support the development and implementation of technology into content standards, professional development, and other activities which enhance student achievement, support technology standards, and enhance teacher productivity. 
  • Maintain knowledge of state-of-the-art applications of instructional technology.  Continuously research, evaluate, and advise the building technology committee and staff on changing technological trends.  Network with outside technology professionals and participate in the ongoing evaluation of delivered products and services. 
  • Plan, direct, and execute the school’s technology program in conjunction with the Executive Director.  Work to resolve problems and recommend better ways of utilizing the school’s technology resources.
  • Assist external IT support personnel in the maintenance of and assignment of all Google Apps for Education accounts, including incoming freshmen and decommissioning departing student and faculty accounts. Create Google Groups to facilitate email communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two years of college
  • Two years of experience in an educational environment.
  • Two years of experience with IT support services/responsibilities, preferably in a school setting.
